Introduction

TLDR; I’m mainly gonna focus this blog on iOS but also other stuff that interests me - like productivity and minimalism.

So. I screwed up. But I’ve learned my lesson. If you don’t pay for your domain you don’t get to keep it. I’ve had the .se-domain for years but not anymore, as you can see if you take a look at it. But I guess it’s a good thing. This could be a new, fresh restart.

I’m going to focus this site on iOS development, because that’s what I do on a daily basis, but I also want to touch on other subjects that interests me, like productivity and minimalism. And in addition to this blog I will also try and start making some videos that I put on YouTube. Scary as hell.

iOS Development

  • I’ve been working with iOS development for a few years now and I really enjoy doing it. I know I’m not the best and that I probably never will but I want to become the best that I can be. I don’t really care about titles but to become a more senior-level iOS developer you not only need to know a lot about the iOS ecosystem, but you also need to be able to explain it well.
  1. I think that by sharing iOS stuff here I will learn a lot. So the plan is to go through quite basic conecpts, to start with at least, but I will also try to put together some tutorials. I guess I will also share code snippets and stuff that I come over at work. Tips and tricks, so to speak.

Productivity

I’ve been fascinated by productivity for a long time - How you can do more, and better things with less time. I think it started years back when stuff just piled up at work and I worked to many hours every week. I discovered GTD, Getting Things Done, and tried to fit my life into that system. Later I realized that I would probably rather have tried to fit the system into my life instead.

Anyhow, I’ve been using GTD for the past years and it has really helped me. I really trust my system now and that makes my mind clearer, not needing to keep things in my head but just put them in the system. I hope that I can share the benefits of having a trusted system and how I keep perfecting mine.

Minimalism

Back in 2016 I watched the documentary about minimalism, Minimalism: Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things, and it really opened my eyes. Things don’t make you happy but sure, you may need some things to do the stuff that makes you happy.

I’m really not calling myself a minimalist, I’m not even sure that there is one true definition. But the last year I’ve started decluttering and gotten rid of stuff that I don’t need and I’ll been more thoughtful about the things I buy. I don’t know how to do this or how it will play out but I will share my journey but I believe it will both my finances and well-being.
